Brush Special Effects, Clipping Layer Tutorial

It is quite possible that you only use the default Brush set in Photoshop. Photoshop has a lot of Brushes. They are hidden. You can access and use them. I have shown how to use one of the brushes and how a Clipping Layer works for a Special Effects tutorial.

Cut out an image with a Layer Mask - Part 2

In a prior photoshop tutorial how you can cut out an image from its background using a simple Layer Mask. This a follow up tutorial. It will also show you how to manipulate a Drop Shadow.

This is the original image of a girl which I will cut out with a Layer Mask.
I have cut her out perfectly and placed her on a Wite background. I have also added a Drop Shadow, which I have manipulated so that it appears to be cast by her person. You can do it too. The tutorial is here

Cutting out image with a Layer Mask

There are many way to cut out an image from its background. There are many uses for cutting out an image from its background. You can add it to another background or make a background yourself. I have demonstrated quite a few methods in my tutorials. You will find links to them in the tutorial I have just posted. But have you ever tried cutting out an image with a simple Layer Mask? It can be done too.
I have taken this free stock image of a girl.

She has been cleanly cut out from the background with a Layer Mask.

Transparent Clothes with Photoshop

This is a photoshop tweak to make revealing clothes even more revealing without changing the rest of the image. You can do it in any version of Photoshop.

This is the image which I have chosen for giving the tweak.
The saree has become more transparent. The rest of the image is unaffected after the applying the tweak.

Invisible Clothing Special Effects Photoshop Tutorial

I found a photoshop tutorial called 'invisible clothing' on the internet. I liked it, but the method shown was too complex. I have therefore used my own method for this tutorial to make it easy for you to do in any version of Photoshop.

I have taken this free stock photo.
And another free stock photo of an empty beach.

And, here is the girl in the 'invisible clothing'. You can see the sea and the beach through her gown. It is simple enough to do and will only a bit a of patience. You too can do it.

Color Range In Photoshop 2

As I explained earlier the Color Range is a powerful tool that works better than the Magic Wand in Photoshop and can be used to correct an image in a non-destructive way by using Adjustment Layers.

This is the image I have chosen to correct with Color Range.

Color Range in Photoshop

Color Range is a Tool that works like the Magic Wand Tool in Photoshop, only better. I will be posting a basic tutorial that has been requested which involves the use of the Color Range Tool.

Using Texture to create special effect in Photoshop

Sometimes you need textures for creating an effect in Photoshop. This may be anything. Use your camera to take photos of brick walls, rocks rough surfaces, rust and whatever. These come in handy for use as Texture.

I have opened two photos in Photoshop. The one at the left is a free stock image of a girl and the one on the right of roots on a brickwall.

I have used the roots image as texture for this effect. You can do it too in any version of Photoshop.

Vortex with Photoshop

I have been asked to post a Photoshop tutorial in creating a vortex. It is not at all difficult. I have been careful to be as simple as possible.
