Bleached Effect with Photoshop

For want of a better name I am calling this a Bleach Effect. My purpose is to highlight a particular color from the image by picking it with the Eye Dropper Tool and using that color as a general highlight.

I have highlighted the Blue tones here.

And here I have highligted the Brown tones. Youcan use any color. You need not be an expert to do this tutorial. You can do it in any version of Photoshop.

Black Layer Mask in Photoshop

You must have used a White Layer mask in Photoshop often. Have you ever used a Black layer Mask? Do you know what can be done with it?

Improving Skin in Photoshop

There are many ways to improve skin tone in Photoshop. This is a non-destructive way of improving the skin with just two tools -- the History Brush and the Brush Tool. It also avoids the fake airbrushed look.
