The Layer Mask in Photoshop hides as well as reveals. A White Layer Mask Hides and a Black one reveals. When you paint on a Layer Mask with the Brush Tool you reveal the layer underneath. This is a tutorial on Layer Mask, but I will teach you to make a special effects poster at the same time.
