Adjustment Layers and Cross Processing Images

Cross processing was done when cameras used film. Acids used in processing the film if applied incorrectly gave a particular effect which came to be known as the cross process. The same thing can be relicated digitally with Adjustment Layers in photoshop.

Skin can be softened in Photoshop with Luminosity Masking. It may be an unfamiliar term, but it is not difficult to do. It can also be done in any version of Photoshop. You can also bring out color in an image with this technique.
