Black and white in Photoshop

Changing a color image into Black & White in Photoshop can be achieved by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+U. But in doing so the effect that you get lacks contrast. I will show you in a few simple steps how you can change a color image into high contrast B&W.

Brush Making and Saving

Do you know how to make a Brush in photoshop? You can turn any image into a Brush. It is easily done. When you are looking for a Brush which you find hard to find on the internet, but have an image, it can be made into a Brush. No special skill is needed and it can be made in any version of Photoshop.

Adjustment Layer Blown Highlights Vintage Look

Adding a vintage look to an image is easy. Blowing out the highlights is easy too. Why not combine them together to create a special effect. It is not at all difficult in Photoshop.

Adjustment Layers and Levels and Curves

Use Levels to correct shadow and highlights in an image in Photoshop. When Levels don't work try Curves. Instead of applying Levels and Curves on the image, use Adjustment Layers to do the same without affecting the original image. It can work wonders with dull and drab photos.
