Layer Mask Blending with Texture

Blending two images images with a Layer Mask seamlessly is easy enough. What if a Texture is used? It is quite possible to do so. But what will you get? A remarkable photoshop effect. This is very easy to o and can be done in any version of Photoshop. I will be using two stock images. It will work with any image and Texture. http://www.deviantart.com/  is a very good source of free stock photos and Textures as well as other resources one requires in Photoshop. Brush Special Effect

Brushes can be used in a variety of ways in Photoshop. You can paint with them at full opacity or decrease the  Opacity and Flow. Also Layer Masks are both White and Black. There are plenty of Brushes in all versions of Photoshop. This a special effect with Brushes and layer Masks.

Hue/Saturation Magic

The Hue/Saturation can be used in a variety of ways. This tutorial will show you how to remove color casts and to brighten colors selectively without affecting the rest of the image. Do not go by the values shown here, but by the method.

Desaturation and Contrast

Sometimes an image may have a washed out look with little contrast. It is quite easy to fix this in Photoshop in a few steps with a desaturated layer and a Curves Adjustment Layer.

Color Shading Action

This is another tutorial on making subtle shifts in the color tones in an image with ordinary photoshop tools like adjustment layers, gaussian blur etc. I will also show how you can make it into an Action which you can reuse on other images without having to go through all the steps again.

Color Shading

This tutorial is about subtle change to the colors of the image in Photoshop that rightfully can be done in a studio. The method is simple using Adjustment Layers, Hue/Saturation and Equalize.

Blending with Layer Mask

One of the ways to blend two images together is to use the Blend Modes in Photoshop. Another is to use a Layer Mask. With  a Layer Mask and a Gradient you can get very beautiful results. You can blend photos with opposite content seamlessly. You will also need a few other skills like cutting out an image, but nothing difficult. I will also show you the Channel Mixer in passing.

Sketch Partial

Turning an image into a sketch is easy. There are various methods to do this. I find the one that I use very satisfactory. But here I will only turn part of the image into a sketch.
