Photo to Puppet with Photoshop

This is meant to be a fun tutorial on turning a real figure into a puppet. You need not be an expert to try it. I have explained it step by step which you should find easy to follow. It can be done in any version fo Photoshop.

Shadows/Highlights as Smart Object

The Shadows/Highlights filter in Photoshop CS can be used to dramatically correct shadows and highlights. It can also be used as a smart object. Using it as smart object prevents the original photo from being altered.

Noise Removal with Lightness Channel in Photoshop

Color Noise can be removed with the Lightness Channel in Lab Mode and some other tweaks in Photoshop.

This is a photo of my daughter taken with a mobile phone camera which has a lot of noise and a color cast.
